Gartner: Outsourcing costs more than in-house | CNET News.com

Gartner: Outsourcing costs more than in-house | CNET News.com: "Outsourced customer service operations can cost almost a third more than those retained in-house, according to a new study by Gartner."

A few years back I had a very nice job that I greatly enjoyed. Then they lost a lot of business with the dot.gone love of 2001. I had never like working with 'tech' support that I could not understand. Having my position taken from me and given to some outsourced company drove it home.

I guess them are the breaks.

At least there is proof that what I knew all along.

"Most (offshore deals) are for level-one enquiries but not the full end-to-end customer service. People are sending bits of processes, but they have got wise as to what is and what is not suitable to be sent offshore,"

Bill curbing illegal drivers wins initial OK in Senate

Bill curbing illegal drivers wins initial OK in Senate: "officers to decide whether to impound a vehicle when a driver lacks insurance. Officers routinely cite drivers without seizing the vehicle, according to Brian Livingston of the Arizona Police Association.

Automobiles are not impounded when a driver lacks a valid license."

I am so excited!

I feel I can vote again for these guys again.

NPR : New Anime

NPR : New Anime Series Come to DVD: "Samurai Champloo"

I enjoy cartoons. Make do doubt about it. But since the whole advent of Sponge bob and the like I am really saddened by the state of animation in america. There are with out a doubt some very good exceptions found in Batman the animated series, Super man adventrues, Batman Beyound, and the Justice League.

Samurai Champloo has some rather "silly" episodes as did Cowboy Bebop. I wish I could find as a high quality level of anime and still be under the age of sixteen friendly. That goes right along with my quest for a resturant that has the McDonald's style play land and the quality food of Chillies or the Cracker Barrel.

*sigh*

Make sure to hit up the NPR link and give it a listen.

Star Wars: Republic Commando

Star Wars: Republic Commando: "Republic Commando makes use of the popular Unreal engine. While Fillbrandt says he was impressed with the capabilities of the engine, his team has extended it heavily. 'Our modifications include bump-mapping on characters, custom screen effects like specular bloom and distortion fields, a rewritten AI engine, a skeletal hit location system, and material-based sound effects,' he outlined."

I am by all means a First Person Shooter gamer. Its fun to see what new things they come up with. I LOVE the Jedi Knight series and starwars Battle front is fun as well.

Go lucas! Master milker for sure.

Attack Donkey

My Mother sent these pics and story to me in an email and so I thought I would post it here as I found it to be an amazing story.

-Mecdrox

"These pics came from a guy in AZ. Yes, the mule killed the mountainlion. The lion had been stalking them for the better part of the morning, onthe way out to a hunt. They were pretty sure it was after one of the dogs. The cat ambushed them, and the mule pictured tossed its rider and went into attack (defense) mode, the horses scattered and shots were fired but no one was sure if they hit the cat or not.

Unfortunately, it wasn't until it was almost over that one of the guys started snapping pics.

image lost :(

The mule finally stomped the cougar to death after biting and throwingit around like a rag doll. The dogs wouldn't even come close until the mule settled down.

image lost :(

The cat was still alive here and trying to fight back. The mule stomped the cat then pinned it to the ground and bit the heck out of the dead cat several more times.

image lost :(

The cat was pretty much dead by now then mule picked up the cat again whipped it into the air again then stomped the dead cat again for good measure!

image lost :(

Note the dog audience. . . Gives new meaning to the phrase "BAD A$$" "
